Roberto Bertolli and Furio Ravera founded, inside Le Betulle Clinic, near Como, the department for psychiatric disorders and drug addiction in 1981. Realising the need to combine a pharmacological approach and the latest treatment methods in the field of personality disorders, Roberto Bertolli and Furio Ravera have cultivated a highly skilled international network of referring physicians and advanced treatment facilities, with one of the most successful collaborations being their longstanding relationship with the Portage community in Canada.

 

In 1984, Roberto Bertolli and Furio Ravera founded the first CREST community in Santa Maria della Versa (PV), which would later be moved to two different locations in Vinago and Cuveglio, in the province of Varese, Italy.

 

During these years, Roberto Bertolli and Furio Ravera began their collaboration with the journalist Guido Vergani, with whom they co-authored Un buco nell'anima (A hole in the soul), published in 1996. In recent years, following the sale of the CREST therapeutic community, Roberto Bertolli and Furio Ravera have concentrated their energies on developing the two highly specialized departments of Le Betulle Clinic and their consulting rooms and facilities in Milan.

 

In 2004, Furio Ravera published Le regole o la manutenzione della Vespa (The rules or maintenance of the Vespa) and Un fiume di cocaina (A river of cocaine) in 2007.

 

Over the years, the staff of Gruppo Ginestra has grown to include a varied team psychiatrists and psychologists who share a passion for innovation and value their relationships with those who turn to them for help.

Roberto Bertolli

As a qualified psychiatrist and psychotherapist with a specialist degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin, Roberto Bertolli directs the Department for observation, diagnosis and treatment of serious personality disorders and drug addictions at Le Betulle Clinic, located in Appiano Gentile near Como, Italy.

 

In collaboration with Furio Ravera, Roberto Bertolli founded the Crest Therapeutic Community, the Society for the study of personality disorders (SDP) and La Ginestra Therapy Centre.

Furio Ravera

 

Having graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan, Furio Ravera specialized in Child Neuropsychiatry. Since 1980, he has worked as a Psychiatrist at Le Betulle Clinic, where he is Director of the Departments of Drug and Medicine Abuse and Addiction and Personality and Psychotic Disorders.

He has completed the 1st MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) Course and Level 1 and 2 of the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Course for the treatment of trauma.

Matteo Ferri

Matteo Ferri graduated with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he later specialized in psychiatry. Ferri is both Deputy Director of the Group's psychiatry departments at Le Betulle Clinic and Manager of La Ginestra Therapy Centre. As a Psychotherapist working with a cognitive-behavioral approach, he has completed Level 1 and 2 of the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Course for the treatment of trauma and is specialized in the treatment of Schizophrenia and Psychotic Disorders, Personality Disorders, Mood Disorders and Disorders related to Substance Abuse.

Sandro Bisato

With a degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Turin, Bisato works from a cognitive-constructivist orientation. Since 1994, he has dealt primarily with personality disorders and disorders related to substance abuse, and began his collaboration with Roberto Bertolli and Furio Ravera in 1996. With long-standing experience in the field of therapeutic communities, Bisato is in charge of the protected residences of the La Ginestra Group. 

Nicola Bertolli

 

As a graduate with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Milan, Nicola Bertolli consolidated his interest in events and communication with a Master in Cultural Events from the Catholic University of Milan. Following a collaboration with the Archives for Metaphysical Art in Milan, where he organized exhibitions and conferences, he joined the Project Team of VisionLab Triennale, a permanent laboratory at La Triennale di Milano dedicated to experimental cross-culture in the fields of art and science. Nicola Bertolli is now responsible for the organization and coordination of communication activities for the Gruppo Ginestra.
